1/3 Brits are eager to buy heat pumps to avoid Gas imports:
Almost 1/3 of Brits said that they would be more inclined to get an electric heat pump to assist with the UK’s decision to distance itself from Russia and their Oil and Gas imports, that is around seven million UK households. according to a new survey by the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU). The survey has concluded that about half of all heat pump ready homes are would be open to installing a heat pump this could be very good news for the UK’s plan to stop utilizing Russian gas.
It has previously been presumed that roughly 1.7 million or more British homes could be powered by Russian gas switching to heat pumps could help alleviate the need for the Russian gas .
This Friday the government is launching a Boiler Upgrade scheme, this scheme will offer grants of up to £6,000 to entice more homeowners and landlords to reduce carbon emissions by installing a lower carbon heating system.

“Combined with insulation, we can stay warmer in our homes and ease the cost of living crisis while reducing our reliance on imported gas and defending against Putin’s war machine.” She also added showing his distaste for the war effort Vladimir Putin has waged on the Ukraine.
