Alot of UK businesses do not have a net zero strategy

Alot of UK businesses do not have a net zero strategy: According to recent data, just 29 percent of UK firms have a clear net zero strategy.

According to a poll of over 1,000 company decision makers, environmental concerns and reputation are the primary motivators for companies committing to carbon-neutrality.

According to a YouGov research conducted on behalf of Veolia, 52 percent of bigger organisations polled had a net zero strategy.

Investment and government regulation were cited as the most common sorts of assistance that firms with a net zero plan would like to see in order to meet their carbon objectives.

According to the report, roughly 56 percent of organisations with a net zero plan had a carbon strategy budget.

Furthermore, 40% of UK firms polled are now using third-party carbon offset procedures.

“We need to see more industries commit to a robust strategy to reduce their environmental impact, whether that be through use of electric vehicles, cleaner energy supplies or reduced packaging.” Said, Senior Executive Vice President Veolia Northern Europe Zone, Gavin Graveson.

“In the wake of COP26, we need to work together, share expertise, innovate and research new sustainable solutions so carbon net zero can become a reality, rather than a goal.”
