Plans for flying taxis in the UK gain flight as a result of a new Hyundai investment

Plans for flying taxis in the UK gain flight as a result of a new Hyundai investment: Plans for the essential infrastructure to enable air taxis and cargo drones in the UK have received new funding from Hyundai Motor Group’s Urban Air Mobility Division, Supernal.

The money, which will contribute an unknown sum to the ambitious ambitions, is likely to boost British start-up Urban Air-aspirations Port’s to build 200 vertiport locations throughout the world over the next five years.

The business previously announced ambitions to establish the “world’s first electric urban air-port” in Coventry in the spring.

The facility is intended to serve as a centre for sustainable transportation, such as autonomous drones and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) passenger vehicles.

“Cars need roads. Trains need rails. Planes need airports. eVTOLs need Urban-Air Ports.” said, Ricky Sandhu, Founder and Executive Chairman of Urban-Air Port.

“Despite the unparalleled potential of eVTOL aircraft to revolutionise mobility, the importance of the ground infrastructure that enables them is too often overlooked.”

“It is essential we not only develop electric air vehicles, but also help shape the broader advanced air mobility market from the ground up.” Said, Jaiwon Shin, Chief Executive Officer of Supernal and President, Hyundai Motor Group.
